Fidelity

I just got back from Maryville. Tyler and I went up for the night to go to Cru- to see all my loves in the Ville. I can’t tell you how blessed I was to be there. It was so encouraging to be in a community of Believers. First because the love that binds us together is by the truest love-Christ. And also because of the work God is doing in and through them. Leaving, I felt like Paul in his letters to several churches. I was sad to leave, because the community and encouragment was so great..something I’m not used to anymore. It was a beautiful thing driving away, not wanting to leave but knowing it is better for me to because God has called me elsewhere. And as Paul said, I wait eagerly for the next time to be with my brothers and sisters again. I’m praying for you and expecting great things for the Lord to do through you. He is preparing you all for a battle. Paul’s letters were informative.He addressed problems in the church such as divisions, disorder in the church, sexual immorality, instruction on Christian marriage, disputes, those appointed as apostles, freedom, idols, warnings, feasts and celebrations, public worship, spiritual gifts, the church as one body and many parts, love, the resurrection of Christ.. he pretty much covered all the bases. He did this because of his love for his brothers and sisters. He doesn’t just tell them good news and praises, but he speaks truth to them and warns them, telling them to fear the Lord. How beautiful! It pleases God to see His children in unity. I praise God for you and am thankful I got to be a part of the last 5 years and this night especially. Live and breathe in the Spirit- this is the most important. For Jesus said it best in John 16:7- “But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. ” How crazy is it that Jesus said it is better I GO AWAY?! for I will send you the Holy Spirit!
