Fidelity

I finally took a step back and realized this is exactly what was happening.

God’s voice was loud for a good two days straight until I decided to open my eyes and then agree with Him. IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU. Thats right Lord, it’s not about me, not at all.

The thing about this conviction of mine that is surprising is how freeing it was to admit to myself; that this life and this particular season in my life- is not about me and what I want WHATSOEVER. With God showing me how selfish I am, this allowed me to move on about my days with a greater sense of purpose and motivation. But I serve a God that doesn’t leave it at that. He doesn’t just point out my flaws and twisted view of reality- He draws near and loves me for who I am and where I am. He gives me what I need to walk in more alliance with Him.  ”Even though you think it’s all about you- I’m going to show you it’s not through grace and truth- then tell you how to change your view to have a more fufilled life. Because I love you and desire to see you enjoy life to the full.”

Can I get a AMEN?! Who wouldn’t want to serve my God? Especially one such as He.

John 10:10- “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
