God should be enough.

the ancient Dayeinu Liturgy recited at Jewish Seder…

If He had rescued us from Egypt,

but not punished the Egyptians,

it would have been enough!

If He had punished the Egyptians,

but not defeated their gods,

it would have been enough!

If He had given us the Sabbath,

but not led us to Mount Sinai,

it would have been enough!

If He had led us to Mount Sinai,

but not given us the Torah,

it would have been enough!

If He had given us the Torah,

but not brought us into the Land of Israel,

it would have been enough!

If He had led us into the Land of Israel,

but not given us the Temple,

it would have been enough!

If He had given us the Temple, but not sent His Son to dwell among us,

it would have been enough!

If He had sent His Son to dwell among us,

but not surrendered Him to the cross,

it would have been enough!

if He had surrendered His Son to the cross,

but not raised Him up,

it would have been enough!

If He had raised His Son from death,

but not given us the Holy Spirit,

it would have been enough!

How much more, then, are we to be grateful to God

for all of these good things which He has indeed done for all of us!

God is trying to open my eyes to this. What He did was enough. Nothing can be added to it or taken away from it. Please pray for me … I won’t go into detail about why but please just pray. I need to humble myself before the Lord and you reading to ask for help.. I’m okay don’t worry I’m just in a spot in life I have never been in. Thank you. I encourage you to read over this liturgy and think on ways in your own lifeĀ in which you tell God that what He did was not enough.
